Covid 19 – Preparedness & Restrictions

As we move into the Red tier, Gurus of Dance will offer Outdoor (limited) and Zoom classes. We will keep you posted on when we can move students back into the studio (Orange Tier)

We are committed to offering dance education to our students in a variety of ways to meet the current health and safety criteria.

Our staff has been diligently working to implement health procedures and guidelines based on the State of California for Health and Fitness (under which dance is classified) to be able to offer the safest environment for all. According to the Santa Clara County we are in compliance with all the current protocol for dance studios.

We are closely monitoring policy changes and public health organizations and will continue to make changes, as necessary. The plan below, coupled with personal responsibility, presents our best efforts to keep our dancers, families, and staff safe. (Updated As of 3/2/2021)

IN-PERSON CLASSES

Outdoor Class Limit  (12 excluding Instructor)

Per the State of California Guidelines, our class size limits will be set by allowing for at least 6 feet of distance between students at all times.

Each student will have an assigned spot on the floor which will help to give dancers the optimal amount of space to continue practicing social distancing.

                                                   COVID - 19 SAFETY MEASURES

Flu-Like Symptoms

Any student, faculty, staff or parent that has flu-like symptoms, any symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 10 days, or has had any close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days, we ask that you please not attend class or enter the studio.

Temperature Checks

Faculty and staff will receive temperature checks every day.

Face Covering

All faculty, staff and dancers are required to wear a face covering or mask when entering and exiting the studio. When actively dancing, students and teachers are required to leave masks on.

Hand Cleaning & Washing

Hand sanitizer stations are at the studio entrance and inside each studio. You will be required to cleanse your hands upon arrival.

All faculty, staff and dancers should wash their hands regularly. The CDC recommends this as one of the best practices to avoid transmission of the virus.

Studio Cleanliness & Sanitization

Following the CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting, each studio will be cleaned and dance equipment and props will be disinfected between each use.

Staff will clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces (e.g., door handles) common areas (e.g., restroom rooms, waiting rooms), at a minimum every 2 hours while the facility is open and in operation.
